In Japan there is a train stop in the middle of nowhere

In Yamaguchi Prefecture, located in the southern part of Japan, there lies a unique train station. Seiryu Miharashi Eki, set in a remote and isolated area, has neither an entrance nor an exit, standing alone in the midst of nature.

There’s no ticket office, no shops, and no bar. The train halts in a place that seems like the middle of nowhere. Once you disembark, there’s nowhere to go, and to depart, you must await the arrival of the next train.

This station is said to serve a singular purpose: to remind people of the importance of pausing, both physically and mentally, to appreciate the landscape.
